| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | May 25, 2009 It pours out of the bottle golden red w/a little head that disperses quickly and laces the glass a little. To the nose it is straight HOPS. It tastes crisp, a little bit of pine and a little bit of citrus, and finishes clean. It is truely a great northwest IPA that has become the standard for American IPA’s. Another great beer from Deschutes, congrats guys. kidmartinek (1001), austin, Texas, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jun 11, 2009 A clear orange, amber beer with a huge frothy thick off-white head... bubbles at a moderate level. Head holds long. Aromatic nose has lemon, lime, and grapefruit scents, that are balanced just well enough to enjoy over the long run. The palate is smooth and barely velvety. The taste well balanced with the hops barely overriding the malt. This is the IPA that drinks like a light lager, but has the profile of an imperial IPA. The finish is satisfying with a bitter grapefuit hint and a 30 second hang time. This is a goto brew. presario (3010), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Bottle. Dark amber with a thick rich lasting head. Rich delicious citrus hop aroma. Thick body. Easy drinking. Nice balance. Steady tasty citrus and toffee malt. Nice sweetness and a citrus burst in the finish. Aftertaste is a moderate hop level that slowly fades down. 7%? Damn! | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 9, 2009 Bottle An extra from Brandon Cheers Buddy. Pours a good clear amber with a generous off white head. The head is foamy and lasting. Produces nice lacing. Has a wonderful aroma of spruce, lemons, and lightly spiced. Has good carbonation and a nice mouthfeel. The flavor is excellent. Well balanced but still has a good hoppy base to it. Has a good crispness. Has a oily texture. A good solid finish, with a great lasting aftertaste. I like IPA’s and this is a good one. djtimeless (180), Florida, USA

Nice toasted biscuit flavors from the malt. Smooth, easy drinker. Not very bitter more fresh hop PA than IPA. Great brew. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 17, 2009 This is pretty nice. Flavor is hoppy but just the right amount for how I’m feeling right now. A little bit tinny in the finish. Good stuff. MeisterBrew (138), Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA
