poured oil black with a thin tan head. Nose was coffee, roasted malts a and a hint of booze. Strong and full bodied, but had it all, the licorice, which I could live without, the oak aging,The roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, chocolate and a strong level of booze which was a bit strong for me but glad I  got to try it.

A Mes rate. Bottle at home.
Black as night with a thin tan head. Massive chewy coffee, loads of wood and alcohol but much more integrated than I was expecting. The wooden notes are done really well done and I’m so glad the bourbon is tolerable. Still it is a little too boozy. Aggressive burnt caramel finish. Strangely thin in the mouth. Would certainly be better with some age but still it’s a bloody good beer.

Very happy to finally be able to taste this - I’ve missed it at multiple gatherings in the past. This was a Relentless Thirst. Black, virtually no head. Flavor is chocolate liquor, coffee, and roast notes. Flavor matches, with a definite shot of alcohol heat throughout. Not bad, but in some ways, just a big imperial stout with some boozy notes.

hank you skourtis for the opportunity! Pours a deep black with a nice mocha foam that leaves a full crown with no bald spots. Smells lightly of chocolate and sweet malts. Is it possible to smell creamy? Taste starts off a bit underwhelming but worth it for the finish. Chocolate, licorice, coffee, all present. I can’t help but say this almost tastes like a belgian in how well it is put together. Mouth is great, med/thick body and low/med carbonation. I think that while this beer is good, it probably is just a tad overrated due to it’s rarity.

Had it in a pint glass - wish I would have had a snifter to try it in. Beautiful color, complex aromas, nice dark head. Almost barley-winish from the barrel aging and just fantastic. I would love to have a dozen to cellar and see how it evolves.

22 oz ’07 Bomber-Dark brown pour w/a brown head...one of the darkest heads I’ve ever seen on a beer. Aroma of smoked wood & chocolate. This is a big beer-flavors of chocolate, molasses, coffee, smoked wood/peat, toffee, a lot of flavor. The oak flavor of the Barrel Aging is there, but it doesn’t overpower the brew. A real warmer, would be perfect in the winter sitting around the fire. Has quite a kick-I had to light up a cigar to mellow this one out! Long full finish, which bordered on overpowering.

07 bottle poured a dark brown in color with a small but thick tan head. aroma has brown sugar, dark chocolate, molasses, coffee, and a bit of bourbon soaked wood. mouth feel is thick and coating. flavor is really hefty, rich chocolate, coffee, molasses, toffee, light roast, licorice, and a nice bitter snap towards the end. this one did not get overpowering on the sweetness end and allowed the flavors to all come across without crushing your tasters.
