I’ve always thought that Deschutes were under-rated and a little over looked. It’s a little hazy straw coloured with a thickish ivory head. Smells like a sweaty sox hop UK golden ale. You know what? It’s a bit like a souped up Woodforde’s Wherry. Crazy but it does. A little stronger, a little less malty and yeasty, but the hops are very reminiscent of Wherry. It’s great. I’m sat here in Ashford, drinking beer from Oregon. Does life get much better? oh6gdx (9047), Vasa, Finland

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2008 12oz botte: pours golden brown with slow fading off white head, aroma not much more than a hint of malt, flavor takes about two sips to get used to but has a slighty malty bitter taste with a hint of orange, i can see why this is their summer brew. not bad nigelvibations (9), , Oregon, USA does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2008 I feel like a crazy person, but I actually hunted down this website and signed up just to see what other people thought of this beer. Got a six pack from the grocery store and, while I’m normally a big Deschutes fan, this just drinks like it had 98% of the flavor sucked right out of it. The hoppy aroma is there, it looks great in the glass, everything seems to be going OK, but there’s this big area in the middle of the flavor spectrum that’s just empty. Maybe it’s just me, maybe I got a weird bottling, but I felt like I needed to share. I can taste the beauty in anything from homemade sorghum brew to a red cup of room temperature Natty Lite, but for some reason this beer just didn’t click with me at all. And that inexplicably makes me feel *guilty* and *ashamed*. Please, somebody tell me I’m not crazy. theisti (1685), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Best before 10/18/08 on the bottle. Pour is a cloudy orange ruby with a nice off-white head. Aroma of fresh citrus and floral hops. There is alse a strong malt backbone. Taste is more of the hops and malt, nicely in balance. Nice medium palate. Nice beer. KimJohansen (7132), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2008 Bottle, Pours golden with a hint of an orange hue. Nice 1 inch white head but it dissipates quickly. Aromas of grassy citrus yeast. Flavor very much the same minus the yeast plus some hops at the end. Palate is a bit watery from deschutes. I remember liking this alot better a few years back.
