Real good when it comes out. I get a little burnt out by summers end. Sweet and bitter with good balance of hop and malt profiles.

I didn’t think that this was too bad of a brew. It had a hazy color with a small white head. Citrusy smell with a fresh clean aftertaste.

Bottle. Slightly hazy light yellow color with a billowy white head. Mild fruity malt aroma with a very low key (almost imperceptible) hop profile. Medium-bodied. Murky light hop start and a light fruit finish. Pretty damn boring and a disappointment from Deschutes.

part of me thinks im rating this so low because im disappointed a seasonal offering is something as basic and rather bland as a bitter. it went down easy, but overall the flavor and aroma were pretty boring. im sure they got what they were aiming for, as ive always been impressed with deschutes consistency. however, this isnt something i would get again (unless maybe on handpump the way a bitter should be)

I enjoyed the brew, it’s better than the Cascade Ale (had them side by side). Aroma of citrus, light sweet malt, grapefruit, and in the background hints of sweet candy sugar. Pours a golden amber with fluffy white head. Flavors of fresh hops, citrus, malt, and bitter hops in the finish. A nice summer beer.

This tasted very similar to Cascade Ale. This would be a nice beer to have in the summer months as a session beer.

Aroma of citrus hops - mild. Pours gold with a small white head. Flavor is hoppy citrus with a little lemon zest and little malt backbone. A little dry and resiny with some lingering bitterness. Average.

Deschutes makes fantastic light ales. Cascade and Twilight are very nice drinking. Summer Ale - got it...
