Spicy citrus (lemon) aroma with hints of sweet malt. Taste is similiar with a light mouthfeel. Nice dry bitter finish. Not a bad beer, but Deschutes makes a whole hell of lot better beers than Twilight. bitbucket (2035), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2006 Bottled. Pours partly cloudy with a chance of lace: golden with an off-white head. The aroma lightly nutty, malty. The body is light with minimal carbonation. The taste has some actual bitterness to it, unlike the other (crappy) bitters I’ve sampled. The taste is restrained and very slightly sweet with some nuts and fruit, just a dash of vanilla. Nicely bitter crisp finish with some spice. OMG, a bitter that’s not a drainpour! This is even verging on being sessionable. WhiteSoxFan (152), USA

Very light copper / orangish yellow. 1 cm. pretty creamy white head. Nice thick layer of foam sticks around. Nice, big lacing. Aroma - not strong. Light citrus aroma. Flavor - Decent bitterness up front. Nice, crisp. Smooth and balanced in the middle. Very citrusy in the finish - limey, lemony, orange. Also a little malty sweetness. Dry finish. Palate - Pretty light, good carb. Overall - Pretty tasty summer ale. Good, light, refreshing, a little heavy on the citrus, but good. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Bottle from Ken (kenb) Thanks! Pours out a yellow color without much of a head. Smell is fruit, hops, and malts. Taste very similar, rather weak, but still refreshing. Not too bad. Not really much to say about it either. elnadeau (786), Laguna Niguel, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Clear light orange-yellow color, fruity citrus & pear aroma. Malty grainy, lightly acidic, dry finish with a medium body. A very nicely crafted summer beer, went down very well on a hot afternoon. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2006 Updated: Aug 8, 200612 oz bottle from local grocer. Light copper color. Medium head that dissipates rapidly leaving a fair amount of lace. Spicey grapefruit aroma and taste. Pretty carbonated, light body, a bit of a metallic/grapefruit aftertaste. Taste like i imagine a bitter should taste. Not my favorite style, but i think it is good for what it is trying to be. AdamGott (190), Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 29, 2006 Excellent balance - fruity esters from the yeast give way to a nice malt finish. Not overtly hoppy but not supposed to be either. I find this a highly drinkable session beer that goes well with Thai Food (which I paired with this beer) after a long day of softball practice. I find this to be somewhat underrated - what did you all find it lacking? Hops?
I think it could use just a bit more malt flavor in the finish but there isn’t much that I would change with this beer. waolsen (1223), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2006 bottle. out of the bottle. wheat, malt , musk and spice aroma. Malts really taking the lead. nice wheat, hint of apricot, slight maple and balanced malts. wheat comes back in the finish. Great carbonation. awesome summer beer. not complicated but far from boring. I’ll reach for this any summer day for an easy drinker with some interest.
