Cleanly fruity, leafy, hop aroma, some lightly toasty, sweet background malts along with hints of orange, lemon and must. Medium golden in color, hazy, with a fine, slight head. Fruity, citric and full of hop flavor to start, sweetening up a bit and turning malty - biscuity and lightly sweet - just briefly on the way to the moderately bitter, quenching finish. Lightly resinous, well-carbonated palate, body is light-medium. Perhaps a little dull but still very drinkable. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2005 Bottle courtesy of Wohlfs. Pours your standard pale golden with minimal head. Citrus hop aroma rather muted. Well balanced flavor, finishes very dry. Easy drink in general, score doesn’t really reflect the quality of the beer. Suttree (2734), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 4, 2005 Faintly cloudy goldish copper, with a foamy thin white head. Spicy, grapefruity, grassy aroma. Fresh veggie flavor and citrus, too, plus mud (in a good way). Tasty. Thanks to Indana_Red for the trade! DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA

I’m getting a fair amount of minimally sweet orange citrus flavor, but otherwise, it’s a pretty dry, lightly bitter beer with a gentle piny, hop flavor. Orange citrus in the nose as well. Very clean on the palate. Pale golden color, slightly hazy, with a standard off-white head that leaves some patchy lace on the glass. Interesting, and not bad at all, but it’s not a style of beer Ithat appeals to me.
07-Aug-05 (Draft: Deschutes Brewery in Bend, OR) A slightly more grainy and bolder bitter than their Old Eternal, this beer is a bit drier, less fruity, and more hoppy. Likewise, the nose is mostly grain and hops. Light-to-medium in body with a very clean mouthfeel and crisp finish. The small off-white head fully covers the dark straw-colored and hazy body. Decent, easy to drink, but not doing too much for me. BetterRedFred (62), Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA

Nice grassy, yet bold ale attack. Strong over the middle as a good ale should be, with no objectionable attacks or aftertastes. This is the sophisticated ale you should serve to your unsophisticated guests to entice them to consider something better.
A "Light/Lite" Ale perhaps? Whatever. Very good. thoreaubred (42), Seattle, Washington, USA

Aroma is moderately sweet citrus with some grassy hops. Pours an orangish-gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin sheet. Strong peach presence in the flavor. Very citrusy throughout with moderate orange and a light grapefruit hop finish. Not a big peach fan, and there is a lot of it in here. DrGonzo (625), Somerville, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2005 Bottle. Slightly hazy light orange color, thin white head and lace. Hoppy aroma, some apricot and orange. From the hops I was expecting something a little more bitter in the body, something closer to an IPA. For the most part the malt carries this beer, bready with some cookie character. Soft and light on the palate, finishes with a mild burnt toast character. Slightly more flavor than your average summer session ale.
