On tap at the brewpub in Salt Lake City. Pours a pure black color with a medium light brown head. The aroma is light; some German malts,sort of funky. The flavor was really excellent; chocolates, rich malts, light fruity flavors. An ashy flavor also. Some light banana ester. Very full flavored and perfect for the style. Really a nice beer. A great surprise.
