Sep 3, 2008 on tap-pours a light tan head and dark red color. Aroma is sweet medium malt/some musty/peat/chocolate. Taste is lots of sweet medium malt/some musty/peat/chocolate, a little fruit, some earthy hops bite. Medium body.

May 27, 2008 Pours dark red with a fine, white head. Flavor is butterscotch with a pleasant hop bitterness. I consider this a good hop bitterness. Reminds me a bit of Leinenkugel’s Red.

Aug 29, 2007 draft at brewpub - Pours amber with a caramel malt aroma. The flavor is caramel malt with a fairly good hops bite. Thin bodied and very straightforward, it’s a quite drinkable brew.

Apr 7, 2007 Poured a clear dark amber color with a medium creamy beige head. Papery oxidized with a mild tartness. Very acidic and sour. Lactic.

Jan 23, 2007 Good beer, if you like malty, sweet, dark beers (which I do). Had a pint after dinner at the Brew Pub and after two pints of the Detroit Dwarf Zwickel. So perhaps it suffered after that excellent brew.
