jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Sep 3, 2008 on tap-pours a disappearing white head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet grain. Taste is sweet grain, secondary/faint earthy hops. Light side of medium body. sneagrams3 (1444), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 19, 2008 Tasted 4/28/08. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a golden hue. White layer of head. Grainy nose. Light bodied and crisp. Mildly tart. Easy and smooth. Touch off dry and grainy. Totally solid for the style, but the style itself lacks a certain degree of palate. But good for what it is! demitriustown (589), Macomb, Michigan, USA Apr 29, 2008 12 oz bottle into my Detroit Tigers Mug. Aroma Grainy, a sweet biscuit scent, maybe some grassy hops. Looks magnificent for Pale lager standards, a golden straw pour but the lacing is awesome and a nice 2 1/2 finger head that just sits at the top of the glass. Flavor is surprisingly good. With a nice malt characteristic, nice subtle hop flavor, grassy, and the slightest bit of caramel. Palate is clean refreshing, nicely bubbly and carbonated like a lager like this should. Overall, Wow nice. Good stuff. Cheers! iowaherkeye (1410), relocated to Santa Rosa f/Iowa, California, USA Feb 8, 2008 12oz bottle, no date. Pours a clear golden with a 1/2 finger white head--tiny bubbles with pretty decent retention as far as pale lagers are concerned. Decent lacing for the style. Aroma of corn syrup, hay, and a hint of biscuits. Biscuity sweet malts dominate the flavor as well with some light noble hops. Mild bitterness in the semi-dry finish. Other than that, not a lot else going on. Light carbonation with a light creamy body. Definitely one of the better pale lagers I’ve had--I can’t pick out any flaws.
