| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Updated: Sep 19, 2009Tap at the brewpub - dark copper/brown with a thick, frothy head - think of it as a more aggressive version of Dale’s - sticky and chewy, but with enough resiny hop flavor and bitterness to dry it out in the end - some earthy citrus rind and pine flavors, herbal, tea-like character in the back that works well with the sweetness - assertive but balanced - this is pretty much Dale’s turned IPA. pantanap (1369), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Effing phone losing my rating. Cliff’s notes! On tap @ the brewpub. Clear orange with a one finger off-white, well-retained head. Big floral, pine, and citrus aroma with some caramel malts behind. Big ass dank hops in the flavor with everything else following suit--though the caramel is lighter and faint black tea is added, and the floral hops are missing. Bitterness peaked @ a 7 in the dry finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Damn good beer--hopefully I can bring a growler home! CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

Apparently this brew was a mistake, but one hell of a mistake it was. An absolute hop bomb. Sticky, very very bitter, and extremely awesome. Difficult to decide whether I want to drink Gordon or this bitch from now on.
