Commercial Description:
A Bold Smooth Irish Red Ale. This Irish style ale is brewed with a rich blend of malts to give it a deep red full body and generous amounts of Willamette and Fuggle hops for a wonderful aroma and taste.

Coppery clear red body. Off-white thin ring. Aroma is dark roasty hops, rye bread. Soapy rye taste, stale roasted hops. Okay taste, but the soapiness gets to me.

Pours red/amber, with a white head. Aromas are caramel, malt, and hops. Flavor is hops, malt, and brown sugar. Not special, but rather solid.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in Little Rock. lt pours a red/copper color. Not much aroma. has a mellow mouth feel, but sharp/abrasive hops take over. this eventually settles down. I wasn’t real impressed. I think they made some bad hopping choices on this one.

Nice looking beer. It poured a clear, burnt umber color with a tan, close bubbled head. The malt was there but it was dominated by the hops, too much so for an Irish Red. The aftertaste was of hops. The head faded quickly.

deep ruddy copper clear color, rocky light tan head. fizz up the center. sweet toffee malt aroma, also a bit nutty/grassy too. flavor is a little watery, dryish caramel malt. weak licorice-like flavor, a little vegetable stock too. faint hop finish. thanks EricMC83!

12 oz bottle, via ericmc83. Deep ruby pour with a 1/4" off white head, clear. Sweet malty nose, slightly fruity as well (strawberries?). Very sweet flavor with an odd off-tasting finish. Not really sure I can identify it, maybe a little oxidation? Light to medium body, fizzy carbonation cuts through a slightly syrupy mouthfeel. I really can’t pin down what’s wrong with this, but something is definatly off.

Deep amber with a white head. The first thing that comes to mind with the aroma is bread. Bready, nutty flavor. Some smokiness in there as well. Almost ashy. Medium body.

Sampled from bottle. Pours clear amber with a frothy, light-tan head. Aroma is subtle, sweet malts. There is a sour note that is almost undetectable. Flavor is slightly sweet and malty (bready, caramel) and just a hint of roastiness. Earthy hops present as well. Very tastey! Medium-bodied, moderately carbonated. All three diamond bear beers are well-made and a must try if you are in their distribution area.
