Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with a thick, off-white head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet flavor with a hint of caramel in the aftertaste. Thanks to Brett for this nice selection.

Bottle purchased from the brewery. Pours a deep amber, with a fluffy, thickish, off-white head. Aroma is fruity and malty with a bit of smoke. Taste is nutty and malty with a bit of toffee, hops and smoke. Lightly bubbly with a water like mouthfeel.

Sampled from bottle. Pours clear amber with a frothy, light-tan head. Aroma is subtle, sweet malts. There is a sour note that is almost undetectable. Flavor is slightly sweet and malty (bready, caramel) and just a hint of roastiness. Earthy hops present as well. Very tastey! Medium-bodied, moderately carbonated. All three diamond bear beers are well-made and a must try if you are in their distribution area.

BOTTLE GASTON RESORT ARK: my favorite of the diamond bears. In 110 degrees andything to keep me off the lake and in the air conditioning was grand. A special high five to Warren for recommending it. Spicey in color that continues to the nose and tatse: cloves. Smooth finish.

Originally reviewed back on 6/30/05. Received 3.4 score. Added to my RB list to check "Arkansas" as a beer state consumed. Ruddy amber color. Aromas of nut and bread. Flavors are smooth at first but more disjointed as it warms. Thin body. An OK red.
