Aroma and flavor where much more malty than any pale I;ve had before. It may be the english style but it still caught me off guard. Hops were fighting to get through the maltiness but loosing the battle. IMO - not a balanced beer. phishpond417 (1946), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

The presense of citrusy hops was delightful but not too much. The bouquet was full of nuttiness. A very clean and refreshing finish. flyfisher4st (5), Conway, Arkansas, USA does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 23, 2008 Significant difference between tap and bottle.

It is an excellent place for rib-eye with a great atmosphere. Then Cyrus Meritage and Grgich Hills Cabernet to top the night. Not bad for Arkansas. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Dansting. Pours a clear copper with a couple fingers of rocky beige head. On the nose is sweet, fruity toasted malt with earthy hops in the background; nicely balanced. Light to medium-bodied with a moderately dry and bitter-hopped finish. The flavor drops off a notch from the nose: caramel malt with solid, earthy hops in support. I’m a bit surprised this boasts only 33 IBUs. While the aroma is nicely balanced, the flavor swings towards the hop side of the flavor profile. This is a pretty solid EPA that packs an IPA-like 6.2% ABV. If I’m in the mood for this style, I’d probably prefer GI Honkers Ale or Odell 5 Barrel, but if I’m ever in AR and see this on tap, I’d order it. Thanks for the bottle, Dan. csbosox (1081), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Thanks to Dansting for this 12oz bottle. Aroma is piney and spicy hops and caramel sweetness. Copper colored with a smallish head but brisk carbonation. Initial taste is caramel maltiness and earthy hops followed by a clean bitterness that seems about right for an English Pale Ale. The finish seems nicely balanced. Not a bad drinker, but I would like more malt complexity if this is to pass as an (good) English Pale Ale. Without a doubt, the best (and only) beer I have had from Arkansas. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2008 Tap: Dark clear copper color with a small head. Solid structure and quite hoppy for a pale ale. I think I actually liked this one better than the IPA. Nice, mild hoppy aftertaste. Indra (2029), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 30, 2008 12oz. bottle. Aroma of lightly roasty, very faintly sweet caramel maltiness and brown sugar, combined with a hint of cedar, lemon and fruity hop and some slight earthiness in the background. Clear medium-dark amber color with a slighter, subsiding head. Flavor is fairly well-balanced throughout, with a sweet, lightly toasty, nutty malt character and very lightly bitter, spicy, citric hop profile. Some lingering hints of tea leaves and dark malt sugars. Smooth and low in effervescence on the palate with a light-medium body. Very drinkable Pale. Thanks to Dansting for the chance to try a beer from Arkansas, and a pretty tasty one at that.
