raymow (735), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 24, 2007 Nowhere near as bad as I had expected, in fact it’s pretty good. Nice amber color and foamy, white head. Definite hop presence both in aroma and taste (but not overpowering like many hoppy pale ales of today). There is also some malt sweetness to it, but again not in an overpowering way.
Poobah (68), New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Aug 17, 2008 Reddish-brown, amber hue with thin head. Hoppy, floral notes on the nose with a bit of honey. Somewhat malty intro with mild carbonation, smooth mouthfeel and some sweetness followed by a pleasant bitter finish. Nice beer. I’m looking forward to being able to buy this in Louisiana. SpringsLicker (1812), Tennessee, USA Aug 14, 2008 Music City Brewer’s Fest 2008.
Clear light amber with a medium off-white head.
Very nice malty citrus aroma.
Well balanced flavor, nice dryness towards the finish.
Zinister (855), Houston, Texas, USA Aug 3, 2008 Thanks to texasbartender for this beer. Pours a deep amber color with a thin tan head. Great malt nose with some good English hops aromas. Flavor is strong malt and hops up front...very nice, but it does finish a bit weak with too much fizz. Mouthfeel is not bad either. Really a pretty good beer that border on above average, but just misses. Thanks Kevin! derekbang (100), Indiana, USA Jul 22, 2008 Kinda funny pale ale. Initial flavor was nice but then it dissipates to nothing. A bit watery. Start out strong but finished weak. Not much head. Pretty average but not terrible. Shag (1767), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Jun 21, 2008 This one poured a copper color with a moderate head. The aroma contains some citrus as well as caramel. The flavor is rather malty with some grapefruit showing through. Overall a simple but nice pale ale.
