Nose is earthy, burnt sugars, molasses, & a hint of citrus. Appearance is very dark, almost black with beautiful head & lacing. Intriguing taste is slightly achrid, bitter, fairly hop forward for the style, yet dry and malty. Interesting flavors could be held together better. Nice drinkability, to style. Overall I was surprised with the depth of this brew, yet disappointed that it didn’t hold together better. Fairly complex flavors but overly bitter and dry lacking a malty sweet backbone for balance. Good, but could have been great. I’ll drink again.

Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Sweetness hits the nose hard, more towards the finish a roasty nut appears. Black body with beige head. Sweet malt flavor thoughout beer with some roast in background mild that is. Too sweet for my palate I would have to say. Thanks Eric.

Bottle: Pours dark brown, near black. The nose is very malty with a rich nutty and roasty character. Full roasty malty flavor with a smooth balance and tons of nutty and roasty character. Finishes smooth and balanced. Very tasty. Was expecting less.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Pours nearly opaque brown with a three-finger tan head. Aromas of coffee and darker chocolate. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is must dark roast malt with chocolate. Some coffee. Finishes rather dryish. Mildly bitter. Good stuff.

Dark brown color that turns to rich red through the light. Smell is immediately dark coffee with a faint chocolate overtone. Taste is a nice roasted coffee flavor. Dark chocolate finish. Not bad but has a bitter finish. Best out of Arkansas yet.

Bottle. Deep brown colored with some reddish copper at the edges when held to light. The nose is fairly strong milk chocolate cocoa with some hints of light coffee. The taste has pretty much the same character. IT starts out as strong milk chocolate that gives way to some ashy coffee roast. There is also a little bit of English Walnuts. A decent roasty brew that is slightly thin, certainly on the brown porter side of things.

Bottle from Cavie. Dark pour. Smells a little hoppy, really malty, some caramel, and blatant chocolate. Great roasted malts flavor and very full feel.
