Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Dark brown-red, tan head. Aroma is roast, caramel, chocolate. Taste is the same roasted malt, chocolate, lightly astringent finish, not sweet enough for a porter.

This beer is very palatable. Dark beers are my favorite and this variety is no exception.

Bottle courtesy of screach. Pours a clear dark brown color with thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, roast, ripe dark fruit, chocolate, anise, and some hints of caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of roast, chocolate, ripe dark fruit, brown sugar, molasses, and hints of toffee and caramel. Generally medium body with a pleasing malty finish. Nice porter, a lot better than the ratings it receives.

Courtesy of our host for this week’s tasting kiefdog. Thanks Kevin, this brings me down to 4 more states/districts to go. Pours clear brown with hues of amber and thin tan head. The aroma is roasty, a bit nutty and some dusty dark roastiness. The taste has full roast to modest burnt malts and dark roasted coffee notes. It then moves into a bit of sweet molasses to the finish. This is a very tasty Porter.

Thanks kiefdog for the share. Pours a cola brown with a tan head. Nose is roast, coffee, and some dark, bitter chocolate. Flavor is similar with a bit of carbonation. Finishes with bitter chocolate and some roasty bits. Pretty good.

12 oz - Special thanks to ericandersnavy for the bottle. Dark brown, foamy off white head. Soft coffee and sour cream aromas warm to hints of dusty cherry cocoa. Light roasted chocolate and coffee flavors round with a hint of citric fruit throughout. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry roasty finish. Just average at best...
