Bottle: Pours dark brown, near black. The nose is very malty with a rich nutty and roasty character. Full roasty malty flavor with a smooth balance and tons of nutty and roasty character. Finishes smooth and balanced. Very tasty. Was expecting less.

Bottle. Deep brown colored with some reddish copper at the edges when held to light. The nose is fairly strong milk chocolate cocoa with some hints of light coffee. The taste has pretty much the same character. IT starts out as strong milk chocolate that gives way to some ashy coffee roast. There is also a little bit of English Walnuts. A decent roasty brew that is slightly thin, certainly on the brown porter side of things.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear brown with an off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of coffee grounds and honey. Taste is coffee grounds and vanilla. Lightly fizzy, but smooth mouthfeel. Good porter.
