Diamond Bear Presidential IPA

12oz bottle-A hazy amber body with a small ring for a head and an aroma of hops, malt, and a little citrus. Taste of this brew is of the same with the hops becoming more prominent towards the end. Probably my favorite from this brewery.

Very simular to their pale ale... probably a little more hoppy. Copper in color, hoppy aroma, and a pleasent hoppy flavor with a hint of pine. Maybe edging out the pale ale as my favorite beer from Diamond Bear.

Thanks for the bottle, dansting. Darker amber body with a light, yellowish khaki head. The aroma has some sweet notes of cake donuts and orange peel zest. There is also some almonds. The taste is slightly dry with some notes of wood. There is just a hint of grapefruit in the background. A decent IPA, but a little light on the hops.

apricot color, fluffy off-white head. aroma of hops and sweet tea. pine in the flavor, with a hint of sweet tea. medium bodied. overall, a decent, inoffensive ipa, but not a favorite. if you love ipa, this will strike you as ok.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a really nice fluffy white head. Aroma is a little hoppy but also detect the malt balance too. I’m actually sort of surprised with this one. Its not an elite IPA by any means, but it is a nice, solid little IPA. Hoppiness up front with a good amount of bitterness as well. I actually found myself wishing that I had bought more of this one. Nice find here.

As of late April 09, the recipe has changed. The new brewmeister has added his touch, and the results are wonderful. Bottle pours a light orange copper color, cloudy, nice white top that leaves a nice pattern on the glass. It is very hoppy, yet the flavor comes though as the citrusy, floral hop flavor accentuates the sweet caramel taste. It tastes like an imperial. The long aftertaste is oily pine. The one I drank was out of the first keg tapped. Should be to the retail outlets soon.

Clear perfect amber color with a small capping of smooth lightly tarnished yellowed foam. Big blobs of lace stick close to the top of the liquid. Aroma is mostly grassy and tingey with grains and a light perfume of cardboard and butter ascents. Taste is more or less again quite grassy with a tender piney sided bite and pithy grapefruit/lemon nudge rounding off some toasted portions. Trace cardboard fluff and leafy hopped dryness float about the finish as it renders leftovers of pine and pithy citrus. Body is fairly firm with a lessened medium girth. Shallow finish, kinda where it loses its way is the finish as its just kinda there, but impressionable enough to keep some interest in a fluffy textured hopped up leafyness, grassy, citrusy mildness. A pretty standard IPA that’s abit above an average for the most part. Won’t be a problem drinkin’ more.

(Draught) Pours a clear deep golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma of grass, caramel, floral, and light citrus. Flavor of citrusy/grassy hops and caramel malt.
