kwoeltje (1222), Manchester, Missouri, USA Dec 30, 2004 (growler from the brewery) lovely deep copper. Nice hops aroma. Only a small head. Solid malt body (even a bit biscuit-y as it warmed up) with a nice pine/citrus hops finish. Nice holiday IPA, a la S-N Celebration. RSRIZZO (1027), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 22, 2008 (Bottle courtesy of Headbanger). Aroma is malty with a little yeast and just a hint of hops. Color is a hazy orange gold with good carbonation and thin head. Taste is bold and hoppy. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a rich feel. Finish comes in malty and sweet with a bread like yeast flavor then a mild citrus and an even bitterness. After taste is hop flavor with the sweet building up a little before leaving you with a bitterness on the back of your tongue. This is a very good IPA, its bold and rich without overdoing it. ericmc83 (200), Arkansas, USA Dec 7, 2005 When the growler was being filled at the brewery I could instantly smell the hops. Very nice. Reminds me a lot of SN Celebration (as koweltje mentioned), and is every bit as good. Actually I like it more. Slight alcohol burn. Very, very good. mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 3, 2007 [235-20070324] 355mL. Sweet orange citrus hoppy aroma. Hazy, orange brown body with some bubbles throughout and a medium lasting foamy light tan head. Strong flavour notes sweet grassy citrus and light caramel with a bitter aftertaste. Medium body, seems complex. A nicely rounded medium IPA. SpringsLicker (1824), Tennessee, USA Aug 14, 2008 Music City Brewer’s Fest 2008.
Clear medium amber.
Hop aroma supported by light malt.
Lightly bitter with a smooth dryness.
