LiebeBier (734), RIchmond, Virginia, USA Apr 21, 2008 Bottle - A decent IPA. Moderately hoppy with a nice malt base. A bit on the thin side.
HomeBrewHawk (108), De Soto, Kansas, USA Jun 29, 2008 Thanks to Dansting for this one. 12oz bottle served in a shaker pint. Poured a hazy gold with a thick head of off white bubbles. Pine/citrus hop aroma with a little caramel malt as it warms. On the malty side of the IPA fence, though there is a decent hop bite in the finish. A little buttery flavor, maybe an older bottle? Decent IPA, fairly drinkable. RSRIZZO (937), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 22, 2008 (Bottle courtesy of Headbanger). Aroma is malty with a little yeast and just a hint of hops. Color is a hazy orange gold with good carbonation and thin head. Taste is bold and hoppy. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a rich feel. Finish comes in malty and sweet with a bread like yeast flavor then a mild citrus and an even bitterness. After taste is hop flavor with the sweet building up a little before leaving you with a bitterness on the back of your tongue. This is a very good IPA, its bold and rich without overdoing it. phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 2, 2008 This beer was courtesy of Brett :) I found this was a nice smooth, medium bodied IPA. Pours a clear orange colour with plenty of head and decent lacing. Plenty of grapefruit on the nose, mouthfeel is creamy finishes long and smooth. hopscotch (4355), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 26, 2008 Bottle… Cloudy golden ale with a large, frothy, off-white head. Lengthy, tight retention. Fairly restrained, breadsy, biscuit aroma with light to medium-roast malts and earthy, citric hops. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Very well-balanced … moderate earthy hop bitterness and moderate caramel malt sweetness. The finish is bittersweet with a whisper of salt at the tail end. Thanks to headbanger for providing the bottle!
