Aroma of sweet toasty caramel malts with some graininess. Body has good fullness and sweetness throughout with a touch of noble bittering hops before a drier bittersweet finish. A good attempt at the style, but could be a little smoother and more balanced. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 23, 2009 Bottle. Dark amber to nearly gold colored brew with a thin off white head. The nose is sweet and grainy with hints of caramel and fall leaves. There is a little hint of bologna. The taste is largely cereal grains with a hint of caramel. There is a dry finish to this brew. Overall, not bad, it’s just a little light. This Rocktoberfest does not rock. WeeHeavySD (3041), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
