| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Amber colored brew with a nice sized offwhite head, good retention and lace. Nose is light chocolate and caramel notes, some light spicing and a touch toasty. Body is medium, sorta prickly carbonation with a light oilyness. Light roast flavors, bourbon flavors are well hidden :), medium sweet malts, caramel notes on top. An almost dry malty finish, lasting, caramel. Thanks to bitbucket for the well done hand bottled bomber. Much appreciated sir! ChainGangGuy (2580), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2008 This is a review for the bourbon version of the Industrial Ho-Ho. It’s been a tough week and just can’t find the drive to enter it in as a new beer entirely.
Appearance: Pours a clear, dark brownish-red body with a thin white head.
Smell: Dark, chocolatey maltiness with an underlying fruitiness. The bourbon characteristics are fairly restrained, yielding only slight notes of vanilla and scorched wood.
Taste: Sweet dark chocolate and some roasted grains that dries out rather quickly. Very, very light hints of vanilla, brown sugar, and wood. Mild bitterness along the way. Dark caramel picks up midway. Flash of dark fruits. Warm, chocolatey finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Mild carbonation. Warming alcohol presence.
Drinkability: A fine bourbony (though light) winter release. eaglefan538 (2383), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Another bottle shared by slob. The pour featured a big head, nice retention, full copper colored off-white head. Aroma was vegetal, caramel, bitter finish, some spicing and dry cocoa. Thee flavor was much the same with some roast and astringency too. Bourbon? Really? Where? Highly carbonated mouthfeel, lively. Overall, just didn’t meld together well, a bit rough. Thanks for the opportunity, another fun run, Bert! JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2008 Handbottle from bitbucket - thanks! Reddish amber with a small head. Aroma is vegetal with some woody notes. Flavor has a unique spicy-vegetal-Brit hop-barrely thing going on thats not bad, but maybe a tad off. Mouthfeel is actually pretty nice - a unique one to try but I guess I don’t understand why some beers get the Bourbon Barrel treatment. Nice to try. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Handbottle thanks to bitbucket: Pours a transparent copper amber with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of earthy dark caramel and toasted grain with some doughiness. Body starts lightly sweet and oaky with some toasty grainy flavor and fruitcake character. I don’t get much bourbon flavor but the beer finishes pretty dry and bittersweet. An interesting holiday brew. bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA
