sweet fresh hop aroma and sexy dark gold color. looking forward to a robust hop experience with the 99 rating but it tastes like a muted bitter.

Tosa gathering, growler acquired by Facto to share on this day: Hazy golden hue with a long lasting head and very good lace. The aroma has grassy and resiny hops vapours along with some grapefruity esters, biscuity and caramel malts appear as well on the nose. The taste has a simple hop bitterness with a bready pale malt background. Some pepper on the finish. Ultimately this beer comes up short and is one-dimensional, disappointing. The growler was as fresh as one could ask for and others liked it much more than I, against the grain on this one. I would however re-rate if ever given the chance.

Had this on draft at the Diamond Knot Brewery back on 06Jul2007. Nice golden orange color and decent head. Great hop flavor that went just perfect with the malt. Citrus, pine, slight malt sweetness. Very drinkable. Nice hop flavor on the finish staying around the back of the palate.

Growler: Poured a hazy orange gold in color with a white head. Aroma, citrus, grapefruit, some bready pale malts. Flavor, citrus, pale malts, with some floral notes. Good bit of bitterness to it as well. This was good.

Filled 15 gallon keg for camping trip. Ohhhh man. A richer beer, soapy finish, strong hoppy.

A heavy, herby deliciously hoppy IPA. The brewery is exceptional and this beer is the flagship. I have heard that they super cool the wort to whatever temperature in under a minute!

A quintessential Pacific Northwestern IPA from nose through to finish. Bustling with a hoppy floral blend reminiscent of some of my favorite IPA’s (Ninkasi Total Domination, Greenflash West Coast), this beer (at least in 2007) was off the hook! Golden orange in color, nice white head and lace, and unfolded a multiplicity of fruity bitter notes as the it warmed up. Awesome!
