Cloudy and amber-orange. Mild to medium carbonation. Smooth and very drinkable. Fresh dough aromas. Bready and yeasty flavors and esters swirl about. Great balance. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Great aftertaste, with lingering flavors of cookie dough and pine. One tasty IPA.

Just a stunningly good example of an English IPA. Have to admit, I primarily drink the Industrial IPA, but this beer is an absolute top shelf example of the style.

Sampled @ RBSG 2004.
Incredible musty and grainy sour hop aroma... nice, but a little one dimensional aroma. Thinner ody than expected, decent sweet flavor, a little pale, need to have a deeper hop presence, but what is there in a piney and musty wood flavor is nice.

Rating confirmed during visit to brewery in 2009. Numbers remain the same.

Growler @ RBSG 04’ Grand Tasting
Orange colors, sticky white head, light lacing. Aroma is fresh with cascade, earthy Columbus, total aroma/dry hopping here. The flavor is balanced, light bitterness & sweet gold. The finish is creamy, toasty. DELICIOUS!

Light orange gold color. Medium head. Aroma is hoppy and earthy. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are slightly fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity, floral and very earthy. A nice hoppy IPA. Finishes very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

I could drink this beer all day, never getting tired of it. Cloudy amber body with floaties; off-white head that leaves lovely lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some caramel. Medium-full body, light chewiness. The bitterness is moderate but does not linger. Lovely beer -- doesn’t try to do too much, focusing on flavor rather than hitting you over the head. Too bad more PNW brewers don’t take this route.

RBSG 2004 Growler - Cloudy amber-orabge iwth a frothy white head. Sharp pine and citurs notes with a good amount of nuttiness in teh aroma. The flavor is lots of nuttiness all wrapped up in a piney shell. Medium body and dry finish. A good and ceratinly different IPA.

RBSG 2004, growler: Cloudy orange with a small creamy white head. Pine aroma with some earthy notes. Starts and ends bitter with a full, lively body.
