On tap at the brewery on 3=29-2005. Has a dark yellow hue with a decent sized white head that leaves a nice lacing. Strong smell of grapefruit and floral hops. Medium bodied and softly carbonated. A sweet grain flavor quickly turns to bitter hops and lasts the remainder of the drink. The fresh smell of this brew is something to behold. Very nice.

Slightly hazy and deep golden ale with a small, creamy and white head. Pine and grapefruit nose. Bitter flavours of grapefruit and light toffee. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Grassy bitter finish.

Handbottle thanks to bitbucket - thanks! Amber color with a slight white head. Aroma is a pleasant earthy-floral hop bouquet that is very sweet and inviting. Flavor has a really nice earthy hoppiness with some bready malt sweetness, some light citrus, and a good amount of bitterness that is pretty much right where it should be. This is one of those IPAs I could just drink all day. Great stuff!

Large white head, retention is very good as is the lace, stringy, sassy and sticky. Clear, light copper color with a gold glow. Fruity nose, light peach, pear, citrus, grapefruity with a hint of pine and some bready pale malts shining through. Body is medium, dry on the palate with a light oilyness. Classy dry fruity flavors, oranges, pine, whisky notes some how? and some bubblegum juicyness as well. Dry pale malt flavors are a touch grainy, bready. Dry, fruity finish with good maltiness and a good, cleaan hop bite. Well balanced IMO. A well done hand bottling job by bitbucket! Diamond Knot did not disappoint ! Thanks much Bob for these samples from a brewery i thought i,d never see!

Growler. Light haze in a deep amber pour. A thin, near-white head slowly fades away, never fully. The aroma is pleasant, with solid balance, mild to moderate citric hoppiness, some fruity notes. Lightly toasty notes reveal a pleasant malt profile. Light spice as well, peppery, mild esters, low alcoholic fumes. The flavor has great bittering and is moderately hoppy. Astringency is high, drying, leading to chalky notes. Mild yeast is apparent. Dry, grapefruity finish. Soft but full carbonation, medium body, smooth even if a touch too grainy. Very good, a pleasure to sample repeatedly.

Growler, courtesy boboski. Thanks again Jason. Pours a mostly clear, very lightly hazy orange amber body. A small, frothy, off-white head quickly settles to a thin film with a prominent edge. Sticky patches of microfilm lace shroud the glass. The aroma shows fresh, sweet orange juice, sharp grapefruit hops, and light caramel malts. Smells fresh, and perhaps overly sweet. The flavor is similar, again showing contrasting flavors of sweet OJ and sharp grapefruit. This time, however, the citrus is accompanied by some unexpected white grape juice, as well lightly toasted caramel, and some floral notes. Medium-light bodied, smooth and easy to drink, though the bitter grapefruit finish did show a bit of mild astringency. Pretty good overall.
