The_Beer_God (2859), Newport News, Virginia, USA Feb 8, 2004 Thanks to jeffc666 for this (I think...)! Cloudy brown with a fluffy tan head. Nose is standard Belgian style. Fruit, some spice, candy sugar and light yeast. The taste is much the same with some light alcohol notes coming out. More fruit and spice as well. Some definite carbonation on the palate with this one, I guess because of the bottle conditioning. Very sweet finish. Another good beer!
harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Apr 3, 2006 Found this in the back room at Market of Choice. Smells kind of musty, and pours a grainy light toffeeish orange. KInd of malty and fruit forward, with a nice little bit of chalky spiciness. Not bad, but not a favorite. aspidites (1268), manteca, California, USA Mar 13, 2005 underattenuated and off grain notes. Little head retention. Some cloying over ripe fruit and mild spice. Acidic and dms finish. not enjoyable. biermonk (259), San Francisco, California, USA Nov 26, 2004 Very hazy pour sort of a light brown to an orange hue...Very thin head...Very grainy aroma...Fairly sweet with some caramel and spiceyness...Nice hints of dark fruit mainly cherries i think toward the finish...Great beer from Gromit hopdog (4654), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 13, 2004 750 ml bottle capped with a plastic cork that was a pain in the ass to get out. Poured a darker, hazy brown color with a smaller off white head. Aromas of yeast, sugar, and a little fruity. Lightly sweet with an almost sour finish to it. It wasn’t bad but also, nothing too special. legion242 (1520), Richardson, Texas, USA Aug 26, 2004 Murky orange. Wispy head. Nose of dark fruit- and barley cereal with breast milk (I know, I have smelled this alot lately). NIce body- feels good on the tomgue. Slight sweetness expected from the style. Keeps a nice sting on the tomgue.
