Commercial Description:
Golden colored, crisp, high alcohol Belgian-style ale. Simple ingredients lead to a very complex beer in this case. Northwest two-row malt is mashed without the addition of specialty malts for a light, golden color. The wort is lightly hopped in the kettle for minimum bitterness and imported Saaz hops give the beer a subtle, noble hop flavor and aroma.

Draught from Blind Tiger. Poured gold, some sweetness, otherwise rather unmemorable.

Bottle From my pal Bob, thanks buddy Pours a hazy orange gold with a thin deminishing off white head. Leaves just rings of lacing. Has a nice aroma of spices, yeast and sweet fruit. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is nice, lots of sweetness with enough spices to mellow it out. Has a medium body. The texture is bubbly without being dry. Has a good finish and a spicy aftertaste.

I wasn’t too into this one. Bottle... Poured honey/orange with a thin head that faded immediately. Spicy nose of hops and yeast strains. Full, dry palate with flavors of earthy hops, yeasty esters, and yam potatoes that created a bittersweet tone. I think it would have been a better drinking experience if it retained a bit of a thicker head. It had some good qualities, but a few things that seemed a little off.

Pours a honey-amber with medium off-white head. The taste is pretty complex, but there’s something funky in there. Probably just not my style...
