Commercial Description:
Wonderfully balanced "session beer" in the ESB style. A combination of 75 L and 120 L caramel malts give this ale a nice color, maltiness and body. This is then balanced and complimented in the kettle with Magnum hops which contribute its clean but detectable bitterness. Mt. Hood hops are then added for a lingering hop flavor and aroma. We ferment our bitter with Dick's house yeast for that classic English ale flavor.

Ontap @Dick’s. Good bitter. True to style. But I would not call an ESB, but an english bitter.

A: Poured with a small head and really no lacing at all. Body is an amber color and hazy. S: A little on the weak side, the bitterness still comes through with some slight malt in there as well. T: The malt comes through light sweet at first, and then finishes moderately bitter with an average duration. M: Medium-bodied with a fairly oily texture, and soft carbonation. D: A decent bitter, but nowhere near one of my favorites.

A real pretty copper color with a firm and lasting head. Nice aroma. Malty with sweet, fruity hops, and some biscuit. Flavor has a lot of that fruitiness but pulls the sweetness back, which is nice. Some malts and spices round out the flavor. Finishes rather bitter and lasting. Body is a little more carbonated than I would like, but it’s not bad. I found this to be highly refreshing and really enjoyed the crisp hoppy flavor. I’d go through a few of these in a night.

12 oz bottle from Market of Choice. Pours dark gold with a small ass white head. Flavor is bitter and pine hops with a smooth backing. Aroma much the same. Pretty tasty for an ESB.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark gold with a medium creamy off-white head. Has a smooth palate with a nice mild bitter finish. Good sweetness but thin in body. Great lacing. At the midpoint I taste green apples and it has a long bitterness on the tongue.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty hoppy caramel flavor. Sweetish malty finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.
