Pours a hazy, deep honey-amber color; very light tan head with excellent retention and lacing that coats the glass; a gorgeous, creamy pour. The aroma shows a whole bunch of overripe fruits and sticky Belgian sugars; dense, hint of tartness, a pervasively tart red fruit note: lots of good elements here, but just very sweet and very overripe all told. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: relaxed carbonation, creamy texture; the overripe, lightly tart characteristics take less of a role here than in the aroma, but don’t leave altogether: honey, sticky-sweet Belgian sugars, overripe and lightly tart red fruits, a nicely peppery and cotton candy-laden yeast character... again, a whole lot of lovely elements here, just overly sweet and lightly tart in a red-fruit-fermenting-on-the-ground sort of way; generous, hidden alcohol; solid overall, if effusive. Long finish: peppery and bready notes, red fruits, and a nice emergent dryness; this actually reminds me quite a bit of some of the Abbaye des Rocs beers... shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Aroma: Big nose containing lots of sweet-smelling malt and ripe fruit. Appearance: Milky, opaque burnt orange color; minimal crown. Flavor: Cherry almond; a bit Sherry-like; sweet; fruity; sticky finish. Palate: Medium-bodied; a bit stickly. Overall: Quite good.

Big time haze with a nice fluffy head. Orange/brown in color. Wow, this thing looks pretty good. Nice yeast malt aroma, but it is rather weak. Candy sugar and sweet aroma. As said, not very pungent. Bottle says 10% alcohol? Wow, nice sweet dark fruit flavor. Yeast is there, but doesn’t really make that big of an impact. A very sugary/sweet grape flavor. Other than the fruit not much going on here. The beer is very smooth. I love the dark fruit flavor because I get some grapes and slight figs, but nothing else really. Not very nuanced, but damn glad to have tried this beer. Tmoney99 (4790), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured hazy dark brown color with a large frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt and caramel aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation.
Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
This is a drinkable sweet beer. Birdiebeagle (815), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Bottle Pours a murky light brown with a good off white head. The head lasts well and produces good lacing. Aroma is sweet and fruity. The carbonation is good. Flavor is sweet and smooth. The alcohol is well hidden. Has a slight burn but not bad. The texture is resiny. Has a medium to full body. A good finish with a mild aftertaste. Has some floaties swirling around but such a murky beer it is tough to spot them. coyotehunter (557), , Michigan, USA

The first thing I notice with this is as I pour it into my glass, its a bit soda like in the head, pouring a dark coppery brown. What catches my eye however is the amount of shit floating around in my beer. It flows around like a ribbon being flown at a chinese festival. A bit disturbing I might say. The smell is acceptable in that it mainly smells of apples, like a fresh apple cider on a chilly October day. The taste is similar to the smell with a solid amount of sweetness to it. Very tasty as Im a big fan of apple cider. The sweetness however turns to borderline cloying as I continue on. Very smooth mouthfeel, with a barely detectable alcohol presence.
