Bottle poured a clear dark brown with red highlights and a lasting tan head. Aromas of cocoa, coffee, light carmel and hints of vanilla and smoke. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of coffee, mocha and a hint of smoke with a smooth lingering bitter finish.

Jul 16, 2008 thanks brewdad! You rock! pours a clear dark brown with a frothy off white head. I smell some coffee, chocolate and almost a lagerish smell. I like the flavor. it is medium bodied and the flavor is sweet malt, faint hints of coffee and a line of hop bitterness coats the back of my tongue. not bad...especially in the 14th inning of the All Star game!!!

Jul 1, 2008 Thanks to brewdad for giving me a chance to try this. Poured an opaque black. Aroma was faint chocolate. Taste was straight forward, some chocolate and a quick finish. This was fairly thin and weak.

Jun 14, 2008 Average porter...perhaps a bit below. Subtle aromas indicative of the style. Coffee and chocolate on the palate, along with lingering bitterness and chalkiness. Quite thin.

May 20, 2008 Bottled. Pours a very dark garnet/ black color with a light ivory head. Sweet, caramel and chocolate aroma. Fruity and sweet. Lots of chocolate character. A somewhat chalky, chocolate flavor. Pleasant bitterness. Lingering flavor.
