Commercial Description:
A complex mash makes this beer truly unique for such a classic style with such a simple name. We combine two types of sweet caramel malt, lightly roasted biscuit and victory malts for depth and richness and of course highly roasted chocolate malt for perfect brown ale color and flavor. Magnum hops lend a clean and balancing bitterness and Mt. Hood hops are added plentifully especially at the end of the boil for an excellent flavor and aroma.

Received a 12-oz bottle via trade with 5000. Pours a semi-clear copper amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin off-white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, roasted nuts, a touch of yeast, and chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, a little over-carbonated with flavors of roasted caramel malt, a touch of chocolate, toffee and some flowery hops. Finish is a little metallic, semi-dry with some roasted caramel malt in the aftertaste that reveals a mild bitterness.

Aromas of oats, pineapple, floral hops. Carmel and nutty malt, Faint toffee. Nose is sharply clean, like citrus. Flavors of carmel and wheat. Roasted malt flavor is deeper than I expected. Well hopped for a brown as well. Unique, but not noteworthy. Overcarbed palate, finish is sticky and slightly bitter.
