Commercial Description:
DIEBELS Alt is brewed according to the German Purity Law of 1516. Under this "Reinheitsgebot", only four ingredients are allowed: Barley malts, hops, yeast, and water. The dark-roasted special malt lends DIEBELS its unmistakable amber glow.

Dark and Delicious. For a dark, flavorful beer, DIEBELS is surprisingly light and drinkable - a beer you can enjoy all night long. It isn't bitter like many ales, and it doesn't have the strong aftertaste of certain imports.

Slightly hoppy nose with a little sour maltiness. Sits in the glass with a deep red-brown color with a short off-white head. Medium-light body with average carbonation. Moderate hoppiness and a little dry on the finish. Fairly simple, but good.

Had this in a small bar named Charlie’s in germany. It looks dark, but is a pretty light, yet enjoyable beer. Roasty malts are present, but not much depth or finish.

Caramel brown colour with a small white head. Intense bready malt aroma with some grassy hop notes. Sweetish malty flavour with a little of the grassy hops and some bitterness.

33cl bottle. Thanks to MissDolle.Pours amber with a creamy off white bubbly head. Very grainy nose. Bread, vague caramel & sugar. Medium to thin palate. Straw & grain - a bit rough & quite boring!
