Lubiere (4462), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jan 6, 2006 Hazy sangrai red with light cherry head. Light sour cherry aroma. Sour berries in mouth with refreshing qualities. Lighter bodied. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Dec 26, 2005 MIBF ’05: Clear berry red with a large creamy pink head, caramel and sweet strawberries in the aroma, medium bodied, lively carbonation, starts and ends sweet and tart with some acidity. beerhugger (541), Oshawa, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2005 First and perhaps best beer I had at this year’s Mondial du Biere in Montreal. Looks like a fresh raspberry cooler with aromas of yeast and raspberry and pies baking. Very tart and refreshing with a slight bitter finish. Nice. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Aug 10, 2005 MIBF ’04 Red in color with a pinkish head, small medium lacing. Aroma of berries, tart raspeberries.Dry tannin like, acidic fruit, winey. radiomgb (1920), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 7, 2005 Tap. Cherry-cranberry in colour with a pink coloured head. Aroma of raspberries, cherries, some wheat, quite sour and tart. The flavour was of a sour berry medley (mainly raspberries of course), very criap and refreshing. Puckering acidic mouthfeel, medium-light body, high carbonation. Finishes with a lingering raspberry sourness. A beautiful summer beer. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jun 7, 2005 Pint at the brewpub, about three times in the last week. Oily cranberry with no head or lace (as desired)...fresh, somewhat green raspberry nose, a bit tart, vanilla and sourdough emerging with time...intensely sour, at times nearly vinegary mouthfeel, mouthpuckeringly intense with tart green fruit throughout, light and crisp, a bit cidery and peppery towards the finish...long, long every so long acidic finish. Goldorak (439), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 7, 2005 Had a sample at the Mondial 2005, and went to the pub to explore further...
Appearance: Ruby red, with a pink head! My girlfriend loved it! Raspberry aromas, but with a concealed yeasty funk, and a catty, lactic twang to it.
It’s tart, but not as tart as last year’s Solstice d’été. The Amourette is more acidic and the taste and mouthfeel is reminiscent of raspberry seeds. Refreshing, but half a pint was sufficient for me. Malicya (21), Charny, Quebec, Canada Jun 7, 2005 Beautiful light pink color. Surprising sour-raspberry taste. A good refreshing summer beer !
