[1392-20080530] Tap. Chocolatey boozy toasted malt aroma. Dark brown black body with a thick creamy light tan head, nice lacing and a cool cascading effect when you tip the glass. Rich milk chocolatey toasted malt flavour. Smooth rich full body. Lovely start to the festival!

Aside: I’ve been hearing about this elusive beer for three years now, so it’s amusing to me that I get to try it now, before having gone to the brewpub...

Sampled at vt 08 brewers fest. Pours black with a nice creamy tan head and has some spotty lacing. Aroma is roasty with chocolate and vanilla notes. Exceptionally smooth and creamy mouthfeel with flavors of sweet chocolate, vanilla and a touch of caramel. An excellent stout.

This is one of the very best beers I’ve had in almost 20 years of craft brew tasting! Had it at the Mondial de la Biere on 30 May 2008. I would categorize it as a vanilla tasting imperial stout with great mouth feel and lingering pleasant after taste. A very great beer - my choice for #1 at this festival, but then I probably only tried 150 of the 400 or more available!

Draught @Mondial 08’. Chocolate and vanilla with roasted malt notes. I tried a lot of stouts that day and this was better than the St. Ambroise Oatmeal but not as good as the Peche. Great mouthfeel.

Bottle thanks to BrianK for waterbottling this for me lol. Poured a dark body with little of the nitro c02 remaining. Lots of vanilla and chocolate. A really smooth beer the whole way through. Not extreme really in anyway but dam i cant say i’ve head a better stout! Awesome coco in this beer.
