Commercial Description:
Straw coloured, this wheat beer is a mix between Belgian and German style beers. The aroma is one of coriander, citrus fruits and freshly baked bread. Strong effervescence sustains the vigorous foam. It is a smooth and fruity tasting beer with a light tinge of citrus acidity. The coriander fills the mouth and a light taste of yeast is pervasive in the aftertaste.

on tap at brewpub. Very cloudy gold with a white head. This has a sweet aroma and an even sweeter flavour. Dont worry though! DDC genius’ have balanced out with more spiciness than a regular wit. Loads of coriander, ginger and a hint of cumin/aniseed aroma.

Tap @ DDC. This is an O.K. wit, aroma is definately spicy, ginger, cloves and coriander with some light wheat and yeast. Nice belgian yeast and spice taste with medium finish and good carbonation. It’s a little too light.

9th of 13 tasters. Pours cloudy wispy yellow with a bright white ring head. The nose was light dry and yeasty. Tasty with a pronounced flavor kick. Really damn tasty witte.

Spicy, phenolic aroma with plenty of corriander and ginger along with some noble hops. Light orange and hazy with a white, flanel blanket. Spicy-bitter clove phenolic--a bit too bitter for my taste. Orange fades to bitter ginger. Moderate sweetness and perhaps a tad astringent. High carbonation and a lasting bitterness in this medium bodied brew. I think this beer would be better with less body.

Hazy yellow pour with a fluffy white head. Heavy coriander aroma, some muted banana. I can’t make out any ginger for certain. Spicy, coriander with banana accents. Spicy ginger start, not overpowering, pleasant to drink. Well done, as usual.

Very notable the Ginger taste on it. Looks it like a Belgian Wit biere. Good foam, and nice citrus taste behind.

Hazy yellow gold hue, with a white head, leaving laces, spicy nose of coriander, ginger, with a citrus fruit accent of lemon, grapefruit, and a yeasty fruity aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a spritzy wheaty citrusy character, with a nice spicy accents of coriander, ginger, even with a black pepper note, and an acidic citrusy fruitiness of lemon, grapefruit, lime, with a lactic ferment note, leading towards a zesty citrusy, and subtle hops bitterness finish.

Hazy blonde with a thin creamy white head. Spiced blanche with bananas but the usual sulfury notes common in DDC’s attempts at wits. In mouth, a nice creamy malt with notes of cloves and coriander, very nice texture of silk. Medium bodied. Enjoyed with Nekronos. On tap, at DDC, Sept. 2 2006.
