Commercial Description:
Brewed only once a year to keep you warm during the cold winter months, the Blanche Neige (« Snow white ») isn’t your typical wheat beer. Firstly, the level of alochol is surprising and is perceived rapidly both in the bouquet and in the mouth. The spices come through immediately, giving very little room for the usual wheat beer aromas (coriander and curaçao). Cinnamon and clove dominate and the flavours are generously well-rounded thanks no doubt to residual sugars. It is therefore a very sweet beer that is best appreciated slowly.

On tap at DDC. Dark yellow, medium white head, looks terrific. Great aroma - very spicy, some dark fruit and sugar. Fantastic taste - tons of yeast, light wheat, ginger, alcohol. Very spicy! Full bodied. Really nice.

9mo aged cask at the brewpub, DDC 9th anniversary Appearance: Hazy gold with low lingering head. Aroma: Distinct nutmeg and cinnamon with an alcoholic nose. Apricot fermentation esters. Flavour: Dry and cidery. Apple pear and apricot. Lots of fermentation esters from a warm fermentation. Mouthfeel: Thin bodied and spritzy. Overall: Kind of like a thin bodied wheat version of an abbey beer.

On tap at Dieu du Ciel. The color is a golden haze with a short lasting white head. It has a fruit aroma of maybe peaches. The taste is very sweet and malty. It has the alcohol % of a Belgium ale but not so much the taste.

Clear golden body with a long-lasting small white head. Ice-tee and perfume aroma. Very yeasty beer with peach and apricots flavours. Very sweet, even sugary. Perfume in the taste as well. Alcohol very well hidden, fells like 5%. This came from an 7 months aged cask at DDC 8th anniversary. If memory serves me right it is better fresh. Unlike the other Snow White (Blanche Neige) this one is not destined to become a classic.

Draught. Light gold with a small white lacy head. The aroma has pepper, cheese, apples, flowers, and nectarines. The flavour is interestingly spicy...notes of fruitiness and yeast with a live carbonation. Refreshing but in some ways a bit heavy. Minty finish.

Very spicey nose, peppery, golden, pours a small white head. flavour has a spicey malt profile, like a ginger lemon cake. Really good tongue tingle, balanced, complex. Very good!

Tap. 8% .Hot spicy, Belgian ale aroma. Grassy, flowery meadow behind. Pleasant rich aroma. Sunset gold with medium fine head. Medium bodied, sweet honey, meadow flavours, gently spiced. Clean and drinkable strong ale. Be aware!

Bu sur place, à l’occassion de leur 8e anniversaire, en fut (10 oz). Blonde un peu foncée, petit collet. Arome intéressant d’épice sucré, un peu malté. Goût aussi intéressant de bonbon épicé.
