Clear light gold pour with an average white head. Simple wheaty/fruity aroma, dry yeast and mild floral bitterness in the taste balances the sweetness nicely, crisp, light-bodied and decently carbonated - simple and refreshing. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Clear light yellow pour with small large-bubbled head. Aroma is lemon, orange, and grapefruit , which balance out nicely with a bit of clove. Hoppy citrus character is quite apparent in the flavor. Coriander and clove make up the spice component. Very full for the style on the palate. Mild carbonation with a semi-dry finish. craftycarl21 (547), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Very pale yellow pour, OK bubbly head. Aroma is quite refreshing; yeast is very palatable, and a nice citrus character resides, with lemon and grapefruit. Flavor is very nice; like Hoegaarden, but more complex. Good yeast, very drinkable, nice lacing, and a very full mouthfeel for this style. Excellent summer beer. Glouglouburp (2815), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2009 In short: An aromatic/perfumy hoppy witbier. Refreshing and original.
How: Tap at brewpub (first batch ever, spring 2009)
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a medium white head
In long: A strangely perfumy nose. I really didn’t get much cascade on the nose, or at least what I came to associate with cascade hops. Instead I got aromatic floral hops (garden flowers), bubblegum and some fruity notes. Taste improves on the nose. The pleasant fluffy body wheat, cereals, orange peels, astringent citric notes, a mild bitterness, a little spicy touch (not quite coriander but similar). This is a refreshing and original take on the style that I would almost call complex, a rarity with witbiers. The nose was a bit perfumy for me but I’m sure that a few after being plugged in the perfume notes were all gone. Will definitely have it again on a hot summer day and my rating will increase with the heat and humidity factor. So when I rate it a 4.0 you’ll see me smiling from a mile away and you’ll smell me from even farther. robinvboyer (1428), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
