My Bottom Line:
This well-balanced Witbier introduces the citrusy character of Cascade hops to the gentle spiciness of coriander seeds and orange peel, all in a slender and bubbly mouthfeel fit for summer afternoon idling.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thick head of foam covers the misty straw yellow.
-Yeast did not appear as much in the flavor profile as it does in their other wheat beers.
-The finish is a slow fading of the flavor profile, with a touch of hop bitterness.
-I just felt like pounding this one.

On tap at Dieu du Ciel!

A light yellow ale with a thin white head. A nice banana aroma with C-hops, herbal and pungeant. In mouth, a nice light ale with light c-hops, mixing in well with the banana esters. Medium bodied. On tap at Mondiale 2009.

No aroma, hops and wheat together. Makes for a hoppy orangey variation of the witbeer. Still not a style that I have found to be very drinkable.So-so

Draught. At Dieu du Ciel during Mondial 2009 - day 1. Clear light gold pour with an average white head. Simple wheaty/fruity aroma, dry yeast and mild floral bitterness in the taste balances the sweetness nicely, crisp, light-bodied and decently carbonated - simple and refreshing.

Appearance: high carbonation, pale gold with mid light white top
Nose: pleasant, lighter smooth clean aroma. Wheat character with clean feel , hint of Arabic gum , hop and flowers of meadow.7+
Flavor/Palate : Citric , rich , full spectrum of flavours. Lighter brew with great drinkability. Neat one from DDC.14+/20

2009-06-06. Crisp yellow body with a modest white head and lace (3+). Pleasant bitterness throughout, touch of citrus, lemon, grapefruit seeds. Mild pale malts with very light biscuit notes. Aroma is hoppy, citrus notes, light yeast I think? Citrus rind. (7+) Smooth average plus palate. Very drinkable. Rather nice, I quite like this one. Nice citrusy hops! Yumm! I did not get a lot of blanche character from it to be honest, but I quite liked it. On tap at the brewpub, Montreal

Pint at DDC. Pours a mostly clear- almost too clear for a wit- massive sticky white head. Aroma is citrus, cascade, light steel and earth with a typical fruity yeast ester found in many wits phenolic and nicely spicy. Flavor is a bit too refined- body is a bit lower than expected, clean crisp more pils and bready,, than creamy and wheat, still has phenolics, spice, lemon zest, cascade citrus, floral and light soap. Clean and pretty refreshing in the finish. Nice beer.

In short: An aromatic/perfumy hoppy witbier. Refreshing and original.
How: Tap at brewpub (first batch ever, spring 2009)
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a medium white head
In long: A strangely perfumy nose. I really didn’t get much cascade on the nose, or at least what I came to associate with cascade hops. Instead I got aromatic floral hops (garden flowers), bubblegum and some fruity notes. Taste improves on the nose. The pleasant fluffy body wheat, cereals, orange peels, astringent citric notes, a mild bitterness, a little spicy touch (not quite coriander but similar). This is a refreshing and original take on the style that I would almost call complex, a rarity with witbiers. The nose was a bit perfumy for me but I’m sure that a few after being plugged in the perfume notes were all gone. Will definitely have it again on a hot summer day and my rating will increase with the heat and humidity factor. So when I rate it a 4.0 you’ll see me smiling from a mile away and you’ll smell me from even farther.
