Well malted, just in case. Nice citrus flavour comes through just fine, there is a good mouthfeel. Foamy mouthfeel, carbonation and temperature just right. j12601 (1327), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

On cask at Dieu du Ciel. Pours a reddish orange with a thin to medium tanned white head. Big grapefruit, citrus, and pine notes on the nose. Medium bodied, sweet, and with a hint of alcohol, and almost a note of bubblegum. Ends with a nice bitterness.

A lot of spices and floral subtilites in the taste which is very malty and with a very strong bitterness. I also had a Sainte-Flanelle, another DIPA, a special brew, that was smoother although with the same ABV. This chaman is a very powerful one, with unsubtle subtilities exploding out everywhere. A very good beer but If you go soon, try Sainte-Flanelle, that uses a different type of hop and that is temporarily available. ADDED: Bottle, batch #84; a lot smoother, hoppiness much more discreet but very warming, especially in july... Kiss rocked! presario (3001), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Appears clear orange with a medium-sized, white head, and served in a tulip glass. Aroma of intense floral hops, lemon citrus, and some pine. Flavor matched aroma, along with a juicy-sweet malt backing, with lent a touch of uniqueness to this brew. The overall result was a delicious, bold, hoppy beer that was truly delicious to drink. Flavor is a combination of PNW hops -- lychee, grapefruit notes -- and mellow pale malts. No sweetness, but still a good body. A bit biting, chocolatey, malty aroma, with pine and plywood.
