Roli (319), laval, Quebec, Canada Aug 14, 2008 On tap at the Brewery. Slightly spicy but mostly grassy, and I mean really grassy, like you were drinking beer with actual grass in it. But it wasn’t too much, and it was quite a pleasant and different experience. I would recommand to give it a try! LadySusan (462), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada Feb 18, 2008 The color is a dark honey with an off white head. The taste is herbal and malty and sweet. It did not have much aroma. As much as I like D.D.C. this one was not my cup of the. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Nov 18, 2007 16 ounce pint on tap at the brewpub 11/17/2007. Aroma has plenty of spiciness, herbal notes, and peppers. Plenty of berries--cranberries with a little husky, roasty maltiness in the nose. The more I smell this, the more it reminds me of something...an unpleasant aroma. Vomit. That’s it. Seriously smells like vomit. I cannot block that smell. Transparent amber body with a stunning, creamy, frothy, off-yellow head. Very attractive. Fruity, floral, berry-like start. Becomes a little roasted in the middle with some maltiness. Floral-ish finish. Celery seeds are also quite present. Dry, bitter, ginger-flavored finish. Very different beer. I don’t know what to think of this. Effervescence moyen-faible. Rondeur moyen-faible. Glouglouburp (2778), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 23, 2006 Golden body, almost no head. Sweet rye. Woody but not in the traditional woody sense, more like wood juice: pine tree resin and cedar sap. The sweet rye and “wood juice” creates a weird fruity taste (tangerine?) that meets the hops in the finish for a bizarre fruity bitterness. Thin body. Intriguing. As unusual as a tuba rock band. I’ve never been a fan of rye beer… nor tuba rock bands. Quevillon (1515), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada May 18, 2006 But sur place, 12 oz. Rousse orange voilé, collet moyen. Arome légé d’herbes et de seigle. Goût boisé et un peu crèmeux. Un goût de la campagne. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 21, 2005 draught. copper body with a small white, creamy head. aroma is spicy - pepper and rye abound. smooth creamy body with some spice towards the end. unassuming astringent spice on the mouth and throat. an interesting brew. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2005 Dark amber body, small creamy white hed fades. Mild fruit aroma and muted spices is pleasant but struggles to stand up to the surrounding bar smells. Mild fruitiness in the flavour blends quite well with delicate spicing. I don’t know my spices well enough to pick it apart, but it is quite nice. Light herbal notes. Average palate. Pleasant.
