| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2009 Poured a dark copper color with a white to off-white head. Decent lacing. The aroma was grassy, light citrus and malt. The flavor was malt, grassy and citrusy hops and some definite pencil shavings. Lots of malt, you can definitely feel the English influence. Not an aggresive IPA, more of an English Pale Ale. Expensive for what it was. curly (575), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2009 Cloudy amber and a thin white head. Smells like pine. belgian yeast. Thin butter like feel. I think the bottle might have some age because it seems toned down. Very smooth with a roasty finish. smcolw (332), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2009 Bountiful head, slow to diminish. Lots of lumpy lace on the glass. Amber, on the side of darker, a little bit of cloudiness.
Plenty of floral hop in the nose. Mild, lighter malt is also present.
Tastes like a traditional American IPA. Lots of harsher bitter flavored hops. Initial sip barely shows the neutral malt presence. The rest is bitterness through the long aftertaste. Good body, low carbonation. A very good example of the style. Skeegle (486), Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2009 Updated: Jun 3, 2009Extremely creamy and sugary IPA that had some very unusual spices. Orange peel, but sugary orange peel. Lots of sugars and the malts are huge in this one. It almost coats the mouth. Very good, and the hops are pungently bitter too, like unrefined bitter. Too bad it’s so expensive for just a 6.5% abv ipa... DalzAle (483), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2009 Bottle. Dark orange-brown pour, a little carbonation and an aroma that was citrus and very herbal. Flavor was very different from my everyday hop heavy IPA, very peppery, flowery and finished with some nice hops and very bitter. Way better than I expected! ScottyP (314), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA

Copper color with a touch of red. Nose is of sweet caramel. Malt and hop as well. Nicely balanced aromas. Palette and flavors fall short with their intensity. Little spice just a little bitter. Pretty good. Not bad at all.
