Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Caramel colored with an off white head. Aroma could be bigger and has caramel, pine, and some roasted malt. Flavor is caramel, fruit, grapefruit, and pine. It is balanced toward the sweet side. Feel is a bit powdery but otherwise is medium bodied. Finish is floral. Very nice!

Good Assertive IPA. Spicy Earthy hops, really not my favorite, though. Good malt backbone

Bottle. Stong hops, grains and soil aroma. Dark amber colour with huge beige head. Bitter hops flavour although with fine notes of oats, raisins and nuts which adds to the dry aftertaste.

This beer loses points for being in a 11.5 oz bottle. WHat gives?? It was an interesting blend between what tasted like Fuggle hops and cascade(?), but thats just a guess. It had the maltiness of an English IPA and lacked the bite of an American IPA. This beer is searching for an identity.

Nice dark honey pour with a creamy, coffee head. Very hoppy, sweet nose. Nice hoppy first taste with a surprisingly sweet, almost syrupy aftertaste. Prickly mouthfeel with a short, sweet-then-bitter aftertaste. Nice take on an IPA.

Toffee colored, sticky head. Caramel & earthy hops. Little metallic, older bottle and more malt forward now.

Bottle: Orange with a lot of lace. Aroma is really citric and cedar wood. Very earthy with an almost sour bitterness that finishes sharply....mouth puckering.

Pours a slightly hazy orange brown with an inch of off-white head. Has strong citrus and spicy hops aroma. Lots of sweet malts coming through as well. I also smell other fruits like green grapes. Taste is an excellent balance of sweet flavors underneath plenty of bitter and spicy hop flavor. Light citrus, apple, and caramel flavors are also present. Medium-light bodied and medium carbonation. The finish is quite grassy a spicy. This is an excellent twist on an I.P.A. Delicious.
