Jan 6, 2009 12 oz bottle (on sale $3.49). Poured a deeper and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of fresh juicy oranges, caramel, other citrus, and floral. Tastes of citrus, toasted caramel malts, and light pine. Not overly bitter or hoppy; more of a balanced Amber. I wasn’t all that impressed.

Jan 5, 2009 This beer is a brownish-orange color with a medium thick and foamy beige head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and bready malt. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with citrusy hops, malt and touches of grain. The finish is resiny hops with a lingering bitterness left over. Straightforward and good IPA through and through.

Jan 4, 2009 Tulip from bottle. Pours an orange/tan with a thick lacey head. Hoppy sweet aroma, with oranges and lemon. Pecan with hops on the tongue, tangy bitterness, with sweet redfruit. Foamy velvety mouth feel.

Jan 3, 2009 This poured a dark orange color with a creamy off white head. Aroma was of caramel and citrusy hops. Flavor was much the same, not much hop flavor, just bitterness and sweet malt flavors. Wish I had tried this a bit fresher.

Jan 3, 2009 Thanks MartinT! Deep hazy amber-orange body with a delicious tan lacing head. Fruity aroma with peach, citruses, the volatile oils of orange peel and of course: strong, fine resiny hop perfume. Some caramel and yeast in the nose too. Fine hops in the flavor(strong but not overpowered), fine malt and fruits, citruses and orangepeel feeling. Fine and strong bitter finish, but not an agressive, soon a well balanced aftertaste.

Jan 3, 2009 11.5 oz bottle purchased at Ramsey Liquors, NJ. Pours a muddy dark bronze with a medium manilla head. Herbal, woody, grassy pine hop nose with caramel. Flavor has a heavy toffee presence then a big dose of piney US hops then orange/grapefruit. The bitterness is quite prominent but not harsh. Lingering woody bitter finish. The body is full and round with soft carbonation. Enjoyable, but I would have preferred less woodiness/toffee.
