Very good IPA. Citrus aromas from Cascade hops are very present! OldGrowth (1407), North Carolina, USA Dec 19, 2008 bottle, from Sams quikstop or bluelight. Good aroma, sweet, bready, nutty, citrus, cardboard. Hazed brownish orange color, small head that stayed as a ring, minor lacing on the way down. Bitter sweet flavor, a sour bitter with hints of citrus, little tobacco. medium body creamy mouth feel, bitter dry finish. Good, aroma had some nice range. flavor was more straight forward. ekstedt (2411), Göteborg, Sweden Dec 19, 2008 Bottle (34 cl) at Bishops Arms, Göteborg, Sweden. Clear deep mahogny, rich beige head. Malty and caramelly, with pinye and citric hops, and with some dark berries. Medium bodied and smooth. Well balanced with a lingering soft bitterness. Very nice. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England Dec 17, 2008 Bottle, for breakfast, during EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Slightly hazy deep amber look and a solid US pale ale taste. My notes say "too goddamn early to write good notes". PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Dec 11, 2008 Bottle at Volo. Pours dark amber with a large, long lasting head. There is grapefruit in the aroma, some toffee, grass. This is nicely balanced between the caramel in the malt and piney hops with and a bit of citrus. The hops are not overwhelming, maybe a gesture to European style IPAs. dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 3, 2008 12oz bottle Pours a nice cloudy brown Big caramel malt and hoppy citrus earthy aroma Taste is thick and hop chewy big malt body Finishes with a nice bitterness Seems to be missing a little something that I cannot put my finger on maybe the light body Decent brew Dorwart (1807), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Nov 30, 2008 Thin head which dissipates quickly. Sweet caramelly aroma with some very nice florals hops, roasted grains and tea leaves. Color is a hazy crimson brown. Wow, big time floral notes in the flavor along with a strong roastyness and bitter tea flavors. Lively in the mouth and a slight alcohol presence. Lingering bitterness and roastyness. An ok IPA but not really to my liking. gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 30, 2008 Bottle. Red brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, hop, malt. Flavour is dry, hop, malt, fruit, hay, caramel, citrus, floral. Nice beer.
