larsga (2937), Oslo, Norway Nov 29, 2008 Big light brown head. Hazy translucent red-brown body. Syrupy intense fruity malty aroma with paper notes, a bit cloying. Intense dry-sweet peppery grassy tropical fruit taste, somewhat papery. Light, mild mouthfeel. Dry straw and grass aftertaste with chalky roasty notes. (0.341l bottle, Ølbutikken, København.) RIXbeer (102), USA Nov 28, 2008 Super light orange with a nice 2 finger head that is made entirely of huge light suds. Instant sticking as the head shrinks.
Orange peel, spice and a musty hop aroma. Has a nice smooth start with a huge hop kick in the middle and flattens out to a nice smooth finish. Smooth front to finish with a nice hop flavor. The hop flavor is very very clean. This is a very easy drinking beer. Nice! Pick this one up KnutAlbert (3108), Oslo, Norway Nov 28, 2008 Hazy amber beer.
Fruity aroma.
Dry hops, lots of lovely fruit, some Belgian style sourness.
A great beer. nhorween (639), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 21, 2008 12oz. Hazy amber beer with a dense head. Intense resiny pine aroma, fresh smelling and almost minty. Great tropical fruitiness. Nice round flavor. Very drinkable. More notes to come.... jimhilt (1664), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Nov 20, 2008 Pours a five finger light tan head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Piney nose. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is caramel and grapefruit with a pine finish. Not bad for an IPA with the hops almost balanced by the malts. $5.75 for a 11.5oz bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.
miketd (679), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Nov 1, 2008 Pour is copper with small head. Aroma of grainy malts, grass and earth. Tastes ok...slightly astringent. Pretty heavy malt. Decent, but nothing to try again unless I see it at the brewery. Tmoney99 (4656), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 30, 2008 Bottle from Crown Liqour, indy, In. Poured hazy copper color with an average to large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate sour citrus and caramel aroma. Medium body with a slick smooth texture. Medium bittersweet flavor with moderate sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This solid complex beer did meet my expectations. PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Oct 30, 2008 Bottle: Pours a hazy amber with a dense tan lacing head. Rich aroma of zesty pine needles, citrus/orange hints and a nice toasted caramel malt presence. Creamy dense carbonation on the palate. An IPA with nice malt depth, thank you! Rich, bready with some rye-like suggestions, toasted caramel, zesty pine notes, orangey citrus suggestions and a piny toasted finish. Has a great malt depth giving it nuances other than hop juice resins. Very tasty and cohesive.
