Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Roasty, Toasty IPA. Pours with a lasting off-white head that was still there at the bottom of the glass. Smells of roasted malts, some burnt caramel, and bitter hops. Great IPA taste with a lot of roasted notes going on. Some citrus undertones are noticable but this one is dominated by its roasted character. Not bad, but not the most refreshing IPA either.

Really enjoyed this one, eh!!! The beer was a beautiful burnt orange with an off-white head. The foam wasn’t as tightly packed as I would have liked. Aroma is floral, with grapefruit and bright citrus. Flavor is sharp but balanced...nice touch of honey to add that needed sweetness. Better than expected!!!

bottle. pours a deep copper/red color with a solid white fluffy head. some hop and piney aromas... wish it had a bit more on the nose. I almost feel this could be a IIPA, but it needs more aroma. Huge hop presence on the palate and through the finish.... nice and soft over the tongue with a good amount of carbonation. the deep caramel and malts come through as well as the beer warms. a very nice American style IPA from Canada...

341 mL bottle. Copper brown with citrus, pine, caramel, and toast in the nose. The flavour is aggressive, but well balanced, with grapefruit and pine balanced by caramel malt. The finish is bitter and lingering. Decent body and appropriate carbonation. A solid IPA.

Pours deep amber into an English pint. Fluffy mocha head with excellent retention does not recede. Sweet pine and resin aromas. Dark caramel upfront with a sticky middle and a lasting resin finish. Full bodied and delicious.

Bottle: Big citrus hoppiness in the aroma. Lots of grapefruit, orange, peach, and pine along with a strong dose of caramel as well. It pours a mostly transparent amber with a touch of haze and a half inch off white head that leaves behind sporadic lacing. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel along with some light fruitiness. The caramel is nowhere near as strong as the aroma would indicate. The finish has moderate grapefruit and pine hops. The pine lasts awhile in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel and mild carbonation. I anticipated a much bigger, "in your face", and sticky IIPA based on the aroma. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a hoppy IPA, but it smelled like a 10+% IIPA.

from the bottle. poured a cloudy amber with a small tan head. aroma sweet, mango, pineapple. malt , doesn’t smell like a ipa more on the line of a barleywine with out the big alcohol hit. had to wait for it to warm to get any hops. flavor, bitter hops, brown sugar, the fruits in the aroma. I don’t know if my palate is off , this just does not taste like a ipa to me, of course I am comparing to two hearted. That said this is a very good nad drinkable beer. the price #.99 for the bottle will limit me to just a few of these

12 oz bottle. Pours dark rust color with tight beige head. The aroma is sweet and citrusy, with honey, tangerine, brown sugar, pineapple, a little bit of pine. The flavor has a mellow maltiness and a resinous hop flavor, followed by a rather assertive piney bitterness. It finishes with some burnt caramel and wood, and some more hops. This one is very tasty.
