Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

(Bottle) Pours dark amber red with a small of white head. The aroma is medium hoppy with tones of citrus – mostly grapefruit and orange, floral/mild pine and apricots. Medium malty with buttery caramel up front. Subtle fruity undertones of starfruit, tangerine, woody pineapple and wild strawberries. The flavour is medium hoppy with citric (orange peel and grapefruit) and floral tones as the most notable. Light fruity and light to medium malty with some toastiness and caramel. The finish is very dry. The mouthfeel quite soft and smooth. Light sweet and medium bitter with some resiny notes. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Orange color with a big white head. Hoppy and fruity aroma. Taste is malty, with some exotic fruits and some sourness. The taste last long, but kinda dry on the aftertaste. Nicely balanced. Another pleasant and accessible beer from Dieu du ciel!

Pours deep amber with a minor, fine, white head. Aroma is very hoppy. Flavor is incredibly hoppy with a strong hop bittering finish. A pleasant, moderate mouth feel really rounds out this pale well.

Bottle courtesy of Hog Town Harry. Thanks. First Dieu du Ciel beer. Pours a nice slightly cloudy amber. Swet malt & piney grapefruit hop aroma. Slight medicinal taste along with marmalade, grapefruit, caramel. Nicely made beer

Bottle, bought @ Wohlenbergs, Sønderborg.
Pours hazy amber with a medium head that is bubbly near the glass, and creamy in the centre. Slightly off white. Aroma is bready, some caramel as well as a lot of hoppiness. Pine and grapefruit dominate. Nice, dry mouthfeel. Flavour is very bitter, light caramel sweetness behind it. Pine hops are very apparent, with a slight hop burn in the finish. Much like a good English IPA with a good dose of American hops thrown in for good measure.

341 mL bottle from Jovi, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Medium mahogany, clear, moderate light tan head. Aroma: Rye bread crust smothered in Seville orange marmalade; typical big, crunchy malts coupled with juicy grapefruit, pine hops; always a delectable combination. Palate: Medium body and medium-full effervescence. Flav.: Lots of toffee, caramel and brown sugar surrounded by juicey grapefruit and pine hops, a bit of cardboard, I think; lightly off-dry and moderately bitter with a slightly earthy, dry malt finish.

Not mind-blowing but very drinkable.

341ml bottle acquired in trade with beerlando (thanks!). Poured a deeper and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of fresh juicy oranges (like I just peeled one), caramel, other citrus, and floral. Tastes of citrus, toasted caramel, and light pine. Not overly bitter or hoppy; more of a balanced Amber (that I enjoyed!).Lacing left on the glass.
