Simple nice aroma containing sweet hopy citrus and a mild malt character, the malts start to become more bold as the beer warms. Yummy intense bitter taste, the bitterness lingers a very long time. Nice grape fruit hops and roasted malt flavors but there seems to be a lot of alcohol in the taste for such a low percentage. After drinking this for a while all the malts seem to vanish from the flavor just leaving the alcohol and intense bitterness. I’m not too sure how much I enjoyed this it was both good and bad, this beer let me down. " lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA

Nice herbal, citrus, and earthy aromas, almost slightly spicey, with a nice caramel malt backing. Flavor contains English hops in abundance with a nice caramel-toffee base. Slightly biscuity with herbal and ctirus notes jumping out every so often and lingering throughout. A nice twist on the American IPA. BBB63 (4228), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Bottle and served in my GI IPA tulip: Rich caramel hue topped by a nice frothy slightly off-white head which left ring of lace upon the glassware. The aroma has notes of resiny and acidic fruits, grassy and herbal , caramel and bready malts, slight bubblegum and medicinal vapours. Smells more akin to a strong ale than a crisper IPA. The taste follows suit with pungent resiny hops, light grapefruit and orange, grassy twang and a chalky metallic tone supported by a chewy bready malt backbone. While it is bitter, it is hardly a hop bomb however. Again I get more "Strong Ale or malter IIPA" character than a crisper and more drinkable IPA. Hardly bad (in fact pretty good still) but just not what I expect. Madsnp (616), Odense C, Denmark

Bottle from Dépanneur Rahman. Pours a lightly hazy crimson brown amber with a medium large tanned beige head that fades down to lace steadily. Light citrus and pine hops, a ton of malt, and a touch of barleywine style decomposing fruit…no way to judge the age on this… I’ve had it about 3 months (whoops), but it could have been sitting in the store for days, or a year… no way to tell. Flavor is malty. Medium bodied. Finishes with a big grapefruit note, and a bit more barleywine style fruit. Tasty, but I’d really like to try it fresh on tap. Next trip perhaps.

Pine and citrus aroma. Hop forward, a mix of sweet orange and grapefruit bitterness, some floral notes, minimal malt character. Long finish as well with lingering grapefruit character. Medium body, medium carbonation. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
