Aggy360 (115), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska, USA Jun 13, 2009 Pours a hazy dark amber with a off white head. A sweet malt with a strong caramel toffee nose. Taste is about the same with a good bitter front. A very unique take on an American IPA. The caramel notes in the nose and taste were very unexpectied yet very welcoming. I like how this beer is different from what I thought I was going to get. KnN (714), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Jun 11, 2009 Pours a really nice deep orange color with a thin off white head. Aroma is toasted malt, a little citrus, some biscuit smells. Flavor is a little hoppy but more on the sweet malty side with a hint of toast and bread. Kind of yeasty. Not overly bitter, and maybe a bit more towards the English style of things. Interesting beer. bigtaster (184), Grand Rapids, USA Jun 7, 2009 12 ounce bottle in tulip. Pours golden haze with a large beige head. Very unique aroma with some complex things going on, a good amount of pine a hint of citrus and a good base of roasted malts. Drinks similarly with a good smooth drink yet lots of complex thing going on and very well balanced. topherh (878), Kearney, Missouri, USA Jun 6, 2009 Pours amber with a half inch beige head and a piney hop aroma. Flavor is sweet up front with a bitter hop assault and dry finish. skortila (2879), Bunnik, Netherlands Jun 2, 2009 Bottle. Aroma has caramel and toffee malts, citric hops with pines. Hazy, amber-orange coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is caramel sweet and has a piney hopbitter end. Though there are a lot of malts, the beer is still relative crisp. Good one. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 1, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a huge orange-beige head. The aroma was strong fruity, piney and resiny hops with a light tangy malt undertone. The flavor was bitter and a litte harsh with strong fruity, piney and earthy hops. There was a long piney and earthy finish. Fairly thick. Interesting. Birdiebeagle (778), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA May 29, 2009 Bottle Pours a lightly hazy amber with a decent white head. The head leaves swiftly. Produces okay lacing. Has a good aroma, plenty of caramel malts, with a good amount of hops. Has a good carbonation. A nice mouthfeel. The flavor is very well balanced. Starts of with sweet malts then hits you with good bitter hoppiness. Has a medium body and a dry texture. A good strong finish with a nice aftertaste. This is a delight to drink. Packs a lot of flavors but holds style. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA May 29, 2009 Deep orange with a half-inch white head. Hoppy nose full of grapefruit. Flavor is soft and hoppy: grapefruit and pine over malt. Nice alcohol warmth. Very good.
