Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

cask. brown opaque body, frothy off-white head. strong citrus hop aroma. creamy body...does not taste as hoppy as the nose suggests. well melded malt structure provides a pretty good balance. long hoppy finish. another good one.

murky amber beer with a large creamy beige head. big, wet, fresh, resiny pine-citrus hop aroma with spicy caramel malts. flavor is loaded with chocolate, cocoa powder, caramel, piney hops, mint, licorice, and other spices. balanced perfectly. impressive brewery.

Pours brown / dark amber with a soapy tan head. The aroma seems oxidized, but it is supposedly a fresh bottle ~ maybe its something else, but I’m not digging it. There is mushy malt, bit cardboardy, caramel and biscuit. Medium / crisp body that is fuller on the finish with some sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with cardboard / woodiness and some spiciness from hops. There is also mushy toasted malt. The finish doesn’t offer much more. This one just isn’t made for me.

Murky honey in colour. Aroma is slightly sweet, hoppy, oranges and some pine. Flavour was hoppy, slightly dry, citrus (lemons and oranges), mild candy sweetness. Finished with a moderate bitterness and dry.

bottle - Pours dark amber-orange with a one finger head. The aroma is of citrus hops and sweet caramel and nut malt. The flavor is moderately bitter and well balanced with a medium body and a lingering bitter finish. It’s good though to me the hops didn’t have a lot of character like the pine and citrus notes that go so well in an IPA. Still a solid, if rather pricey, brew.

Pours ruddy dark gold with a generous tan head. Ample citrus hop aroma with bready yeast and malts underneath. Very fruity with some hop dryness in the finish. Well balanced, not overly bitter. Very smooth and full bodied. Nicely different!
